Time spent together

Judy and I spent yesterday and today up in historic Galena, Illinois. We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast Farmer's Guest House. The owners Jess and Kathy were just wonderful. In fact, Jess is a drummer and he loves jazz music. Formerly he lived in New York City and was a frequent visitor to the world famous Birdland. His college roommate (name escapes me) played percussion for many famous acts and was teaching the late, great, tenor saxist Michael Brecker how to play percussion.

As always, you can click on the pic for a slideshow.

We headed out yesterday around 10:30 AM and went straight to Galena where we walked the street and did some window shopping winding up at Vinny Venucci's for a wonderful authentic Italian lunch. Then we checked into the B&B and enjoyed some relaxing down time in our room - Camelot.

Although it rained yesterday, it was warm. This morning we awakened to beautiful blue skies and the smell of breakfast. We met a couples from Peoria, Milwaukee, and somewhere in Illinois.

It was a wonderful time with my beautiful wife of 21 years and I thank God for her and our marriage everyday. I love you sweetie!!!
